Another great laser tube
I've bought replacement tubes from OMTech a few times now, and they've always been solid. This 80W CO2 tube was no different. It fit perfectly into my older machine, and the power output seems consistent with what I've gotten before. Delivery was pretty quick too, arrived in about a week. Good to know I can rely on them when I need parts fast.
My first CO2 laser
So I finally bit the bullet and got a CO2 Laser Engraver, the cabinet style one. I was a bit nervous about setting it up, but it wasn't too bad. Watched a few YouTube videos and followed their instructions. Everything came well-packaged, no damage or anything. It took 5 days to reach Denver, which was faster than I expected for something so big. I've been playing around with it for a week now, mostly cutting plywood sheets. It's doing a good job, way better than my old diode laser. Overall, happy with the purchase.
Got a good deal on an air assist
I was looking for an Air Assist Pump and saw OMTech had a holiday sale going on. I signed up for their newsletter and got an extra 5% off, which wasn't huge but every little bit helps. The pump itself was a decent price even before the discount, and with the sale it felt like a really good value. Shipping took about 6 days to get to me, which was fine. It works well with my machine, no complaints there. For someone trying to save a few bucks, keeping an eye on their sales is definitely worth it.
